Brian Walker

Brian Walker is President of NAI Burns Scalo and Burns Scalo Equities (NAIBS), one of the largest fully integrated professional real estate firms in Western Pennsylvania. NAIBS has subsidiaries specializing in investment, brokerage, development, construction, and management of several million square feet of commercial real estate assets. As President, Walker leads the organization’s high-growth-focused mission with an eye on national exposure and expansion.

In 2024, Walker also served as Chair of the Corporate Board of Directors for NAIOP, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association, where he was responsible for leading the association in advancing responsible commercial real estate development and advocating for effective public policy. NAIOP is the premier organization for developers, owners, and related professionals in office, industrial, multifamily, and mixed-use real estate.

Before joining NAIBS, Walker spent 18 years as the CFO and CIO of Piatt Companies, formerly Millcraft Investments, where he was directly responsible for the organization’s overall financial management, strategic planning and growth, as well as serving the board as Secretary and Treasurer. In 2008 and again in 2016, Walker was named Pittsburgh Business Times CFO of the Year for his exceptional work redeveloping the downtown Pittsburgh skyline.

Before joining Millcraft in 2005, Walker was a partner in a Pittsburgh CPA firm specializing in tax, accounting, and consulting services, allowing him to bring a unique business perspective, extensive operating experience, and financial management to every project he touches.
