Dan Thompson brings over three decades of retail real estate experience to his role as Senior Vice President at NAI Burns Scalo, leading the firm’s Florida retail brokerage initiatives. With a proven track record in shopping center leasing and sales, Dan has worked with a diverse range of clients from restaurant site selectors to boutique retailers.  

Dan’s career spans leadership and consulting roles at top firms including The Archor Group, Matthews Real Estate Investment Services, Retail Consultants Inc., Poag Lifestyle Centers, CBL Properties, Aronov Properties, The Mills Corporation, and Simon Property Group. He has managed and leased millions of square feet of retail space, coordinated leasing and budgeting for regional malls, and consulted on distressed retail assets.  

Known for his relationship-building skills, market insight, and negotiation expertise, Dan has consistently delivered results for property owners and tenants alike. His achievements include earning the 2020 CoStar Power Broker Award for completing 120 leases and mentoring new talent in the industry.
