 — Burns Scalo Real Estate (BSRE), Pittsburgh’s largest private real estate investment firm, has recently closed on 21 acres of land in northern Washington County, signaling its pursuit of high-bay industrial development opportunities.

The acquisition is the first move in a series of land acquisitions for the Beltway Developer as it continues to broaden its investment portfolio – a significant shift for a firm that has traditionally focused on suburban and fringe office development.

The pad can accommodate a sizable 195,000 square feet build-to-suit opportunity located in the heart of the Fort Cherry Development District (FCDD), one of the region’s newest industrial districts. The development is situated directly along the new Southern Beltway, PA-576. with prominent freeway visibility and access. The Southern Beltway, also called the “Energy Corridor,” provides easy access to landmarks, including Pittsburgh -International Airport, the Shell Cracker Plant in Beaver County, and Interstate 79 in Washington County, making them accessible within minutes of travel.
