Why Puttery in the Strip Might Change The Way You Play Miniature Golf

There’s a new, 21-and-over hotspot opening in the Strip District this month where you can enjoy craft cocktails and upscale snacks in an elegant environment.

You’ll be able to play a few rounds of miniature golf there, too!

Puttery is expected to tee off this month at 1415 Smallman St., across from Homewood Suites.

Located in The Vision on Fifteenth, a new mixed-use building erected by Burns Scalo Real Estate, Puttery will offer two floors of food, drink, weekend DJs and immersive mini-golf on three themed, nine-hole courses. This will be the company’s sixth location. Other Puttery cities include Washington, D.C., Chicago, Dallas, Houston and Charlotte, North Carolina.

This ain’t your average putt-putt facility.

Guests visiting the 19,000-square-foot venue will be able to sip at two main bars and play one or all three of the courses, from the ski chalet ambiance of the Lodge; the cozy Library or the high-octane Garage.

The scorecards are digitized (no more tiny pencils!) and each course boasts a private bar serving beer, wine and cocktails, including signature offerings specific to the theme. Players won’t have to stop putting to order, they will simply scan a QR code located at each hole and a bartender will bring out their beverage.

Director of Sales Lisa Pickersgill says Puttery will have one of the most intensive cocktail programs in the city, highlighted by freshly squeezed juices and other ingredients.

Take a shot before you take your shot — and then take a shot for social media since Puttery is the perfect place for selfies.

After working up an appetite on the green, visitors will be able to order from the scratch-kitchen, where chef Arthur Shelton has created a menu of shareable plates, including charcuterie boards, bruschetta, oven-roasted meatballs, veggie potstickers, sliders and other on-the-go munchies.

Having a party or a corporate event? Puttery will offer private and semi-private event spaces and meeting rooms. All told, the facility can handle groups of up to 400 people. There’s an on-site parking garage with 390 parking spaces, 90 bike storage spaces, 20 electronic vehicle charging stations and a bike/electric scooter sharing program.

“This is your playground,” Pickersgill says.

Can’t wait to practice your short game? The Strip District is becoming a golf destination; OnPar Now is a woman-focused, golf instruction and practice space in The Terminal at 1669 Smallman St., just a few blocks away from Puttery.

Later this year, Puttshack, another high-tech mini-golf and entertainment venue, is slated to open at The Terminal.
