Stephen Whittingham has been a member of NAI Burns Scalo since 2009.  Steve is an accomplished executive with over two decades of experience in the development and construction industry.  With a strong background in project management, strategic planning, and team leadership, he has consistently delivered exceptional results throughout his career.

As the Vice President of Development and Construction at NAI Burns Scalo, Steve oversees the entire Construction and Development team for the execution of multi-million dollar projects from inception to completion. Steve has successfully managed over $1 Billion worth of projects throughout his career. His keen eye for detail and expertise in navigating complex regulatory environments have been instrumental in the successful delivery of numerous high-profile developments.

Steve’s commitment to excellence is evident in his track record of completing projects on time and within budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. He is known for his ability to foster collaborative relationships with clients, architects, contractors, and regulatory agencies, ensuring seamless project execution and exceeding stakeholders’ expectations.

Prior to joining NAI Burns Scalo, Steve held key roles at several prominent construction firms such as Wyatt Inc. in Pittsburgh, PA and HITT Contracting, Inc. headquartered in Falls Church, VA.   There he honed his skills in project management, cost control, and risk mitigation. His extensive experience spans various sectors, including commercial office, hotels/hospitality, education, retail/restaurants, and industrial development, providing him with a comprehensive understanding of the nuances of each market.

He is passionate about mentorship and is dedicated to empowering the next generation of construction professionals to excel in their careers.

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering – West Virginia University
